German-born, Brooklyn-based saxophonist, composer, and singer Charlotte Greve has unveiled ‘Own Lap’, a sprawling cut from her forthcoming LP WATERBODIES that marks her first work to be adapted into an orchestral context. It’s dedicated to Greve’s late grandmother and two close friends who had recently suffered through hardship, “strong people,” in her words, “who had the ability and strength to keep their head up and keep going.”
